  3. This folder contains software to help diagnose  set-up or operational problems.  These tools are frequently used by the Starnine Support group to help evaluate and pinpoint reported problems.

  6. SMTP Test

  8. SMTP Test in verifies TCP/IP set-up and connectivity.  Its main functions include Ping, Name Server lookup resolution and SMTP protocol verification.    The TCP/IP Utility folder contains both SMTP Test and complete on-line documentation for SMTP Test and for MacTCP.

  11. MacsBug

  13. MacsBug is Apple's assembly debugger.  As a support tool it can be used to diagnose the state of a machine's memory when a crash occurs.  The MacsBug folder contains a ReadMe with instructions for producing a MacsBug log that can be sent to Starnine support for analysis.
